Report of the pepper market and other spices in August & 8 months of 2025

In August 2025, Vietnam exported 21,464 tons of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper reached 18,365 tons and white pepper reached 3,108 tons. Total export turnover reached 139,8 million USD, compared to the previous month, export volume increased by 2.6%, turnover increased by 1.7% and compared to the same period in 2024, export volume increased by 10.6%, turnover increased by 19.5%. The average export price of black pepper in August reached 6,335 USD/ton, white pepper reached 8,562 USD/ton, down 0.9% for black pepper and 0.1% for white pepper compared to the previous month.

The United States continued to be Vietnam’s largest pepper export market in August, accounting for 22.4% of the export market share, reaching 4,807 tons, up 40.3% compared to July. Exports to China also showed positive signs, increasing by 36.2% to 2,300 tons. Next were the markets: UAE: 1,698 tons, Germany: 881 tons, Thailand: 856 tons and the Netherlands: 772 tons.
