Cassia and Star anise are two indigenous spices in Southeast Asia that have been grown for a long time by Vietnamese people, suitable for the climatic conditions of many provinces and cities, and are identified as key economic crops of the localities.
With the desire to bring an overview, specific and latest on the material area as well as the market of two important spices of Vietnam, Cinnamon and Anise, Phuc Thinh Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company (PTEXIM) has compiled, analyzed, and evaluated the data to prepare this report.
PTEXIM would like to sincerely thank the enthusiastic support from those who work at Departments of Agriculture Vietnam; The Forest Protection Department Vietnam belongs to many localities such as Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Lang Son, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Bac Kan, Thanh Hoa, Binh Lieu (Quang Ninh) and Que Phong (Nghe An)…
We hope this is a valuable reference source for the export of Cinnamon – Star Anise in particular as well as the spice industry in general, in order to make efforts to jointly promote and affirm the position of Vietnam’s agricultural industry in the international markets.
The report certainly has some shortcomings and limitations. We look forward to receiving valuable contributions for PTEXIM to continue updating and perfecting.
